Why Our Diet Should Include Plant Foods

A lot of books magazines articles have been written about what scientists and researchers have proven regarding the benefits of eating plant sources. Here are simple good reasons why our diet should contain more wholesome vegetables and fruits.

1. Nutrients and vitamins from natural sources are balanced in nature and more functional compared to synthetic vitamin supplements.
The methods of processing and isolating a natural vitamin for the other natural substances that are supposed to go along with it, have stripped off wholesome, natural food of their real value, altering its a natural balance and effectively as a vitamin. Example, vitamin s from wholesome sources, such as in pineapple or and orange, do not cause toxicity of taken in large amounts, as compared to synthetic vitamins supplements.


2 .Plant foods contain fibers. Fibers is the indigestible portion of plant foods such as fruits, vegetables, legumes, and grains. Studies that have shown in fibers in food as a responsible for speeding up the transit and processing of food in the digestive system the American Journal of Epidemiology published a study that shows that a high intake of dietary fiber decreases the risk of colon cancer, blocks of the absorption of fats and colonies in the intestines, and helpful in losing weight and controlling the appetite.

3. Plant food contain petrochemicals. Photochemical are plant compounds that offer disease-fighting potential, some were discovered to passes anti-cancer properties as they have the ability to block processes that lead to carcinogenisis. example of photochemical found in fruits and vegetables arwe indoles, isothiocyanates, flavonoids, and isoflavores.

4. Plant foods can offer balanced nutrition.


5. Animal-rich diet and high caloric, refined, and chemically laden foods are responsible for many chronic regenerative diseases
