Are you aware that some of the most common food you eat have something very bad for you? That's Trans fat.
There are four kinds of fats: monounsaturated fat, polyunsaturated fat, saturated fat, and Trans fat. The "good" fats are the monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat. Saturated fat is the "bad" fat people have been long warned to avoid. It is the worst kind of fat. A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine (April 13,2006) linked trans fat consumption to increased risk of coronary heart disease, sudden cardiac death and diabetes. Trans fat from partially hydrogenated oils have harmful effects on blood lipids, promote inflammation, and cause blood-vessel abnormalities, all of which are risk factors for heart disease.
