Vitamins For Healthy Skin

Beautiful skin is healthy skin. A smooth, firm, glowing complexion is the result of millions of healthy cells, thanks to a continuing supply of water and valuable nutrients. Scientists and dermatologists are now promoting vitamins to skin care products. Do the vitamins work?
According to some skin experts and nutritionists said certain vitamins do. These include vitamins A, C, Z, beta carotene and antioxidants that help counter the effort of aging process. Here are some food supplements mentioned in the book of "Dr. Earl Mindell's Secrets of Natural Health" :
* Beta-carotene
Beta-carotene is converted by the body into Vitamin A, an antioxidant that boosts the immune system and is well known for relieving skin problems.
