Viagra Causes Heart Problems In men, Bladder Infection In Women
Viagra, the male impotence drug, may cause serious health risks for men with cardiovascular problems, says a study reported in the New England Journal of Medicine (September 1998 issue)
Physicians reported in a series of letters published in the journal, that among their patients taking viagra, several suffered from tachycardia, or abnormally fast heart rate, one patient had a serious pulmonary hemorrhage while some women partners developed bladder infections. One physician wrote that in a group of 100 men taking viagra, 15 wives developed bladder infections.
Viagra, since it went on sale in the US, has been banned by FDA on people with heart disease who are also taking nitrate-based medications.
