Minerals For Your Body

Based from the written books about how to keep our body healthy, it says that Minerals are substances which are non-living in nature. Some of them are known for many people like magnesium, copper, phosphorus, potassium and the like. There were two types of minerals, one is major and the other is minor. Major minerals can be determined if more than a hundred milligrams is required as per day requirement.

Like vitamins, minerals are essential for a person’s good health. They build and normalize our body cells—it obtains the important food elements through the stream. So it is necessary for our body to get proper supply as much as possible of all vital minerals so it can function normally.

It was discovered that minerals aid to preserve the quantity of water required for our body’s life process. Also to keep the blood and tissue fluids from becoming too acidic or too alkaline, minerals assist draw chemical substances into and out of the cells. Minerals are so important because of the fact that there are fifty thousand enzymes in the body which direct growth and energy, and each enzyme has minerals vitamins associated with it.

Another undeniable truth about Minerals—it play major role in the bodily functions and so they are present in every human cell. Although the amount needed may be small, even the lack of the required trace of the mineral is bound to lead to a dysfunction at some level in the body. Less obvious deficiencies may surface as fatigue, irritability, loss of memory, nervousness, depression, and weakness

The main sources of minerals can be found in green leafy vegetables, nuts and seeds, grains and legumes. Since plants are usually combined with organic molecules, this will result in better mineral absorption.

These inorganic substances called minerals are essential for the proper growth and integration of the organic substance and development of every part of the body. The body can bear a deficiency of vitamins for a quite long period, but even slight changes in the concentration of the important minerals in the blood may rapidly endanger life.
