Foot odor is a unpleasant smell coming from the foot. It is caused by perspiration interacting with bacteria that cause bad odour. It can be prevented by:
Changing socks or stockings daily.
Washing of feet with soap and water, dry it with clean cloth can also help.
Health workers suggest that a choice of cotton socks will also help to eliminate the problem.
Putting foot powder, such as talc powder or deodorant sprays may reduce the problem.
Calluses are thickened epidermis caused by pressure from the shoe on bony prominences while corns are circular, raised skin caused on the feet by frictions or pressure from the shoes. One may suggest that:
Wearing well-fitted, soft and comfortable shoes may help.
Buying shoes after long walking, probably late in the afternoon may expand the feet size.
Using of cream or lotion to soften the calluses.
Ingrown toenails can be inward growth of nail which causes trauma into soft tissues. To eliminate the problem:
Trimming the nails straight across and following the contour of the nails may prevent the tissue or nail injury.
